I wrote Bigger Person my Senior year of high school when a group of girls, who I considered my best friends, had a formal birthday party event for two of the girls in the group, and did not invite me. The girls invited most of my Senior class, took pictures in long beautiful dresses, tagged me and posted them on Instagram. The following months of school were torture. I sat alone, skipped lunch, turned off my phone, and learned how to be the bigger person by walking away.
Pre-Heartbreak
I wrote this song about a boy who keeps breaking my heart, yet he is still in my life. “I can see the pictures on the floor torn into shreds, memories in the garbage, you don’t comprehend, it’s the Pre-Heartbreak, we will all end up broken.” It’s the Pre-Heartbreak that happens over and over again and it’s time to break the cycle and say goodbye.
